But you can get a great workout in anywhere, even if you can't make it to the gym!
Here are our tips on getting the most out of your workouts:
1. Schedule your workout days and workout times.
Designate which days you will be working out. Write it down in a calendar, planner, or your phone and hold yourself accountable. Figure out what time of day works best for your workouts. Having a schedule will help keep you on track and motivated!
2. Find a good playlist to pump you up!
Having a great workout playlist can make all the difference. If the song is good enough to make you want to dance, it will motivate you enough to run that extra mile!
3. Use an accountability buddy.
Having a workout buddy, friend, or partner to hold you an accountable and encourage you when you're not in the mood will ensure you are staying on track. Even if you are not working out together, tell someone about your goals and your schedule so that they hold you accountable.
4. Follow a training program or plan.
Working out without a plan is a bit like trying to drive in a foreign country without a map; you’ll always get somewhere, but the place you arrive may or may not have anything to do with the place you actually wanted to be. Without a proper fitness or training plan, your workouts might not lead toward your end goal. Plus having a training program in place will keep you accountable!
