"I went to the kickoff party last week and it was nice to see how many people were there and participating. I had started a weight plan 7 weeks ago called Optavia and have loss 30 lbs without really working out since the program didn't let you the first 6 weeks. My daughter Jessica, signed up for The Edge Challenge and the timing was perfect, since I can now work out and I went to my first circuit class this past Saturday with Adam. It wiped me out. I started that day with 20 minutes on the treadmill then the circuits. The last circuit for me was tough and I thought I was going to get sick and took a break to get my composure. After about 5 minutes I went back and finished everything. My body hurt all day on Sunday! Then Adam texted me my workout schedule. I am going to ask him for some help on how to do some of the stuff on the plan. My goal is to make it through Saturday without stopping."

"The Edge Challenge thus far has been great! My trainer Lauren holds me accountable and is a great support system. Though the kick-off was this past Wednesday, I started my meal plan last Monday. I've taken the Edge Strong Burn class and even brought my husband along to a Edge Challenge class this past Saturday morning. I would be lying if I said my body wasn't sore. It hurts, but it's a good hurt. My mind and body have gotten used to the diet already and I'm excited to see my hard work and perseverance pay off at the first weigh-in, and feel good about hopefully achieving my weight loss goal. Lauren is going to kick my butt at personal training tomorrow and I cant wait to be pushed!"

"I am starting this challenge weighing the same as I did when I was 9 months pregnant! It is time for me to commit to a healthier lifestyle. This week, I attended the Edge Challenge kick-off party and had my first personal training session with my trainer, Adrianna. It was a challenging session, but it showed me just how out of shape I am. Along with personal training, I also went to the Edge Team workout session, Zumba, and used the Women’s Only Exercise Area. My biggest challenge this week has been with healthy eating. I am keeping myself focused on making healthier choices, including portion control. The first weigh-in is next Saturday and I hope to come closer to my goal of losing weight and gaining confidence!"

"I was not expecting a dance club vibe when I walked into Edge Fitness for our Challenge Kickoff but that is exactly what I got! The workout room was transformed complete with a streamer curtain in the doorway and a DJ set up in the corner. My trainer, Melanie, even brought us swag! We as the "Gibson Gladiators" were dressed in matching t-shirts and bandannas. The speaker to cover ground rules was funny and engaging and got everyone pumped up to get started. We all introduced ourselves and set goals. My goal is to lose 20 pounds and increase muscle in my triceps and biceps. Here is a photo of Melanie and I on kickoff night and my before photo! We are 5 days in and I am 6 pounds down! The first Edge Challenge group session was a great workout with a fun instructor. There is something to be said about having a group of peers cheering you on. I am excited to move forward on my journey to wellness!"
