Our Favorite Fit Celebs: What’s Their Fitness Routine?

Posted by The Edge Fitness Clubs on May 9, 2019

We may never have Carrie Underwood’s sculpted legs or Kim Kardashian’s bouncing booty, but we can copy these and other celebrities’ fitness routines in our own quest for fame and fortune.

Here’s some of our favorite fit celebs and how they manage to look so good.

Kate Upton

Upton became a household name when she graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition in 2012. Since then she has starred in films, been the cover girl for several more magazines, and was voted fifth-sexiest model by Models.com.

How she keeps fit: Upton loves strength training and can deadlift over 300 pounds. She focuses on being strong instead of becoming a certain weight on the scale. Her diet includes loading up on proteins and greens, but still making room for treats like chocolate, cheese, or bread. With her strength and her attitude, she is able to crush her fitness goals.

Chris Hemsworth

Our favorite Hemsworth brother (sorry Liam) transformed his body for his role in Thor and is one of Hollywood’s sexiest stars. His Aussie accent, muscular physique, and boy-like charm make him one of the most-liked celebs. Not to mention, he’s a real-life superhero.

How he keeps fit: You don’t become the God of Thunder overnight. Hemsworth’s superhero shape comes from training six days a week for an hour each time. He goes hard at his workouts, doing a combination of heavy weightlifting, bodybuilding, resistance training and functional work. He also moved to a vegan diet when filming for his roles in The Avengers and Thor.

Julianne Hough

We can’t keep this superstar dancer-turned-judge-turned-actress off our list. Hough has many talents and likes to keep her body as busy as her mind. She loves being creative through acting, singing, producing, and creating meaningful stories. Her latest project is her portrayal of fitness model Betty Weider in the film Biggers. We’d say she looks the part!

How she keeps fit: The dancer, actress, and singer likes to vary her workouts and shock her body by doing different things, which include cycling, yoga, cardio, and crossfit. She also schedules her sleep as much as she does her workouts, because she knows both are important for a healthier life.

Mark Wahlberg

Actor, father, entrepreneur, producer. At age 47, Wahlberg is a busy man and it doesn't seem like anything is slowing him, professionally or physically.

How he keeps fit: Wahlberg reveals how he keeps his sexy shape in a video that he posted on Instagram. In it, he shares how he wakes up at 2:30 a.m. to hit the gym in the wee morning hours. He also follows a strict meal plan where he eats a combination of protein, vegetables, and healthy fats.

Jessica Biel

As if we don’t envy Jessica Biel enough. She’s drop-dead gorgeous and she’s married to Justin Timberlake. It just doesn’t seem fair.

How she keeps fit: Biel works out with her personal trainer two to three times a week with lots of circuit and strength training. The model and actress is seriously strong and also enjoys Yoga and running. In addition to trying new workouts, Biel stays fit through a balanced diet.

Ryan Gosling

Gosling is known for his perfect hair, flawless smile, and sexy build but he wasn’t born that way. The actor has come a long way from the scrawny kid he played in Remember the Titans.

How he keeps fit: Gosling works out four to five days a week for two hours, focusing on chest, shoulders, and core to get his “photoshopped” physique. He disciplines himself to bananas and protein shakes despite having a “raging sweet tooth.”

There’s a common theme in these celebrity-style workouts. For one, they work capital H-hard. By doing a variety of workouts, they continue to shock their body and avoid hitting plateaus. And, they each work with a personal trainer who challenges them to push their bodies past what they were capable of before. While you may never become a celebrity, you can train like they do and be on your way. Hey, we all have to start somewhere!
