"The Edge has had a huge impact on my life. I have chronic migraine disease and rarely experience a day without pain. It is extremely important for those with migraine disease to exercise daily, as it helps in fighting the disease. It is hard to muster up the strength to work out when you experience daily pain, dizziness, nausea, tinnitus, vision disturbances etc. The trainers at The Edge are amazing. They push me as far as I can handle, but accept my limitations. Maurice's Zumba classes, Kate’s HIIT, and Christine’s training, BodyCombat and BodyPump have been integral in my recovery for over three years. Their classes are fun and challenging. I am grateful for their hard work, and the hard work of many other trainers whose classes I’ve taken. 💜💜💪🏽💪🏽"

"Before joining the gym March of this year I lost about 40 lbs by changing my nutrition and working out at home. I knew it was time to do more for myself, so I joined the Derby Edge. After months of going with friends and by myself, I had the confidence to start personal training. With that, I joined the Edge Challenge and took Edge Strong classes. From my first Strong class, I knew it was for me. As of today I’m down a total of 76 pounds and gaining more muscle. Thank you Derby Edge!"

"After graduating PA school in July 2017, I was at the heaviest weight I had ever been. I attributed my weight to focusing too much on school and not having time to take care of myself. I always hid under baggy clothes and tried to blend in. I had no self confidence and avoided mirrors at all costs. I tried every fad diet and exercise program in the book and would lose a little weight, but always quickly gained it back. I got engaged in February 2019 and hated the way I felt wearing a wedding gown. I wanted to feel great about myself on my wedding day. I finally joined The Edge. I was scared of how much work I would have to put in... so it took me over three weeks to actually show up.

I started working with a personal trainer, Dave. He listened to my goals and told me that they’d be hard - but we would get there together. I started doing Edge Strong classes and did multiple Edge Challenges as well. I was never more motivated in my life. The trainers become your friends and biggest supporters. Other clients are cheering you on along the way as well. Fast forward to my wedding day on August 31st: I am more than 50 lbs lighter, happier, more confident, and FEELING AMAZING. In 2017 I would have never had the confidence to post something like this. I am so proud of where I am today, and I am not stopping yet. I have set new goals for myself to keep working towards. It has not been an easy road, but it has been worth every second. Thank you, Dave! Thank you to all the personal trainers at Edge in Washington Township! Thank you Edge for changing my life!"

"I was always a member of The Edge since high school but became serious about working out during June of 2018. I started mostly with cardio before slowly introducing weights into my routine. I primarily worked out at The Edge in Trumbull since that’s where I’m from. Once I was back at school I began working out at the Manchester Edge. The energy and the people there helped me stay motivated and encouraged.

In spring of 2019 I began working with trainer Jake at Manchester and I cannot tell you how much I have transformed mentally and physically with him. The Edge has provided me the push and the help I needed to get through plateaus and to reach new goals. Working with Jake has taught me how much more capable I am as an individual and he instilled so much confidence in me that I am now able to do workouts and exercises I never even dreamed of.

"I switched to The Edge this year around May. I had weight loss surgery in January 2019 and decided to get into fitness! I went to my local Edge in Philadelphia for a week trial and was blown away by the facility. The staff is so friendly and the facility is so clean! I did a couple months of the Group Exercise classes which helped kick start my journey. Since my switch, and with the help of the surgery, I’m down 115 lbs! I have never been happier in my life and I’m so grateful for all the help you guys have provided me with!"

"I started at The Edge in Washington Township back in January of this year. I had belonged to another local gym for several years that shut its doors at the end of 2018. Traditionally, I have used a gym to lift weights and that was about it. Thanks to encouragement from head trainer Alex and my former trainer, James, I tried my first Edge Strong class around the middle of February. It has completely changed the way I exercise and approach the gym. If I go even two days without taking a class with Marissa, William, Alex, Dave, Miranda, Jacoby, Shawna, or any of the other trainers, I really miss it. There is a book, Peak Performance, written by Brad Stulberg. Brad preaches the importance of community in all aspect of performance, including exercise. That is a BIG thing I get from the Edge Strong classes. I enjoy seeing my fellow regulars in the morning and getting that hour of work in. I’m 48 and wasn’t in bad shape when I first walked into The Edge...but I can honestly say I am probably in the best shape I’ve been since my early 20’s. I really love it. Thanks, guys!"

"One year ago, my wife and I found out we were having a baby girl. I made a promise to myself to get rid of my “ dad bod” bad habits and become a “fit father". I said goodbye to my causal lunch breaks and hello to The Edge at lunch. It started with 20-30 min elliptical sessions a day, which then rolled into 20-30 min runs followed by a solid lifting regimen. Being a property manager, I’m always on the move but having The Edge gym nearby at each property I manage has been extremely helpful. As a result in a year I lost over 70 pounds!"
