Reaching Fitness Goals with Edge Strong & Personal Trainers

"I was 52 and weighed 225 pounds. I can't even tell you how it happened. I was always overweight but it just got out of control--until I decided to take control. And now, 2.5 years later, I'm older but I weigh less than I did in high school and I'm in the best shape of my life; I owe it all to the awesome team of personal trainers at The Edge. 

My journey began by losing 75 pounds too quickly and with a poor diet and tons of cardio. Once I got near my goal weight, I joined The Edge and learned how to eat properly and began to workout in a gym for the first time in over 30 years. Since then, the scale hasn't changed much but my body is completely transformed. I've cut my body fat in half and dropped multiple sizes in clothing by gaining muscle and losing fat while maintaining a healthy weight for 2 years.  

After 6 months of diligent logging, I felt I'd mastered the food side of things and my focus was solely on Edge Strong classes. I absolutely LOVE coming to the gym every day and seeing the trainers and all my "gym friends" that I've made since I started. The camaraderie and encouragement I feel from this community to try harder every day is truly unique and special.  

I remember when I couldn't do a single TRX pull-up and now I can do 4-5 real pull-ups. I remember exactly where I was in the Edge Strong room when I did my first push-up  ever 2 years ago (and, yes, it was only one and now I can do 20). Everyone starts somewhere. Work with your trainer and find the diet that works for you. You don't have to starve or feel deprived! Come to the classes and find a community of people that actually care about each other and make it  fun. Thrive under the guidance of some amazing trainers. If I can do it, you can do it too!"
