Family Bunny Hop Race Workout

At The Edge Fitness Clubs, we prioritize the whole family! We understand how important designated “me time” is for parents, it stands as a powerful example for their children. That’s why we have Edge Kids, a safe, engaging, and exciting environment where kids can play, stay active, and explore the basics of fitness - all while parents focus on crushing their own goals.

However, staying active is better together! This Easter, bring the whole family outside for a Family Bunny Hop Race Workout! This will get everyone moving together while making memories. 

Set Up!

You will need open space - think backyard, driveway, open grass area) and an area marker (ex: cones) to make your race lane. 

Use two cones to mark a straight path, one cone marks the starting line and the other marks the turnaround point. 

Stretch!

Make sure you are stretching before your workouts! As a family, it is important to teach your children about stretching your muscles before any workout to keep the muscles flexible and healthy to maintain a range of motion in the joints.  

Race Time!

All family participants line up at the starting line. Do one movement (to turnaround point and back) and switch off each participant until everyone has completed every movement twice. 

  1. Bunny Hops 
  2. Squat Jumps 
  3. Lunges
  4. High Knees
  5. Bear Crawls 
  6. Sprint!
