"I’ve grown so much throughout this Edge Challenge. And no matter what any scale says, I finally know that the number on the scale doesn’t define me. I didn’t lose much weight and I finally learned to stop focusing on that. Throughout this challenge I gained muscle mass, pushed myself to new heights, and above all learned to love myself and my life!
After these 8 weeks, I’m the strongest I’ve ever been. Even with rough days here and there, I’ve actually learned to listen to my body - to rest when I need to and push myself when I am able. I’ve learned discipline, but also balance and that it’s okay to enjoy life and indulge from time to time. Throughout this Edge Challenge, I’ve learned to love myself. And I think that all showed in the NYC marathon I ran on November 3rd! I not only finished the race but I had an 11+ minute PR also qualifying for the Chicago marathon. I missed qualifying for Boston by mere seconds which gave me such confidence that it’ll happen soon! I have been at the highest muscle mass percentage and the lowest BMI in my life!
This last week has been rough mentally coming off such a high but honestly if it was a few months ago it would’ve been so much worse. I have learned to just take it for what it is, another bump in the road that I can move past. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year holds. And it’s time to start focusing more on that! I have had more compliments over the past 8 weeks about how happy I look and how much that has shown in my pictures, my posts, and my race that it’s contagious! Isn’t that what this challenge is all about? Loving yourself in the right way and loving the life you’ve been given? I definitely won in this challenge and I can’t thank trainer Kelly Scofield enough ❤️"
