"Hi, my name is Ashley, and I am a member of The Edge Fitness Clubs in Orange, CT! I began my fitness journey some time ago when I reached a point where I knew I needed change. I started to understand that I needed to start taking care of myself. I joined the Edge a few years ago having lost some weight and was ready to step up my fitness level. I knew I needed help being held more accountable in order to continue achieving my goals. I started taking The Edge Strong classes shortly before the pandemic. I quickly knew that this is where I needed to be. The trainers in the classes were so supportive and helpful in ways that stick with me today.
Going into lockdown The Edge was so awesome and supportive while closed. Everyone came together and posted workouts on social media, as well as support from trainers to help everyone keep doing their best. The gyms re-opened and I was in there the first day and decided to sign up for personal training. During the time of having a trainer, I learned so much about my body, what works best for it, and the best most effective workouts/ food for my personal body. Every human body is different, and the Edge is awesome at personalizing the routine for what is best for you and makes you most comfortable.
As time went on, the more consistent I was. The more consistent I was, the more results came. The more results, the deeper your hunger grows to better yourself daily. Living an active healthy lifestyle goes beyond the benefits of looks. The way you feel about yourself, life, and the confidence and happiness that comes with fitness is the most incredible thing I have ever experienced. The Edge has given me a place to call a second home, a place where I have made relationships that are the ones I cherish very much. It has also taught me to love and take care of myself.
