The Get In Touch Foundation was launched in 2007 a few years after its founder, Mary Ann Wasil discovered her own lump while doing a Breast Self Exam. Inspired to teach her own children what she had learned and practiced, Mary Ann with the help of a Medical Advisory Board created the Daisy Wheel and embarked on a mission to ensure that this education could be provided and taught to adolescents and young adults worldwide. Today we inspire people of all generations to make informed decisions about their breast health by making our educational information free and accessible. The Get In Touch Foundation instructs everyone to know their body’s normal through breast self-examination which enables them to speak from a place of confidence when something changes. Building around our now proprietary Daisy Wheel, we continue to effectively lead change and strive to make breast health simple, appropriate, and routine through our education curriculums, multi-language materials, and digital platforms which are a part of school programs throughout all 50 states and 34 countries globally.

Since 1985, they have raised over $50 million for breast cancer research and the education of future breast cancer researchers and doctors. Investments are directed locally, in Chicago, but the impact is global. While they started as a grassroots effort driven by Lynn’s family and friends, they have grown thanks to the involvement of new supporters like you.
