Before people sign up for personal training, one of the many questions clients they have is: “Does insurance cover this? Or do I just eat the cost?" Here’s the thing: If you always look at your health as an expense, instead of an INVESTMENT, you’re never going to see yourself as “worth the cost”.
Truth is, price is most often an issue in the absence of value. It’s usually when we see value in something that we don't find it necessarily "expensive". Example: Do you value premium coffee daily before work? If so, you're willing to pay between $4-$8 daily on that premium coffee, which can add up to over $2,000 per year.
On the other hand, take something like 1:1 health & personal training. A service (not just a product) that is an overall investment in your health. An investment usually means there’s a RETURN on your purchase in the long run. Your "health investment" has unmeasurable returns that will last a lifetime! Overtime, you'll see results when working with a personal trainer, including:
• Knowledge gained within nutrition
• Knowledge gained within working out
• Higher sleep quality and more energy
• Accountability / Accessibility to ask all your questions to a reliable source (your trainer)
• Improved body composition
• More confidence
• Much more strength
...the list goes on and on.
You know that working out is good for you. Exercise isn’t just a way to shed some calories a few times a week - it’s a way of leading a healthier lifestyle. With fitness comes both physical and psychological benefits - as well as financial. While you will learn so much and make physical gains with your trainer, staying fit can also help you save money on healthcare costs as well! Studies show, obese adults spend more than 40% extra on the price of healthcare compared to adults who are a healthy weight. By investing in your health, fitness, nutrition and BMI, you’ll be helping save on visits to the doctor, tests, prescriptions, and hospital admissions. By making an investment in your overall well being, you will be saving money in other ways!
The point is, we should all look at our health as an INVESTMENT, rather than an expense. As you cannot put a price on a healthy body. And until YOU believe you’re “worth the cost” - you may not ever be able to prioritize yourself or your health the way you want.

Read what clients say about training at The Edge:
"In August 2018, realizing that I probably have lived 2/3 of my life at age 57, I knew that if I didn’t get healthy now, my remaining years would be unknown. Being overweight and on daily medication, I was heading in the wrong direction to enjoy the years I had left to live. I signed up to work with a personal trainer, Alex, who played a key role in my success. In one year I was able to lose 62 pounds! I reduced my daily medication by half, and now I’m no longer obese. Being matched up with Alex was instrumental in my transformation. Alex always provided guidance and encouragement to believe in the training program whenever I was dealing with the ups and downs during my journey. He also recommended signing up for the Edge Strong classes and The Edge Challenge. These two programs along with hard work contributed to my success. Now, if you’re ready to CHANGE YOUR LIFE for the BETTER, GET HEALTHY, FIT and GAIN CONFIDENCE to be in the BEST SHAPE you can be in, than The Edge is the gym for you and make sure you sign up for training and the Edge Strong classes! I’m looking forward to the next couple of years to see what physical growth I will be achieving.” - Mark
