Re-Opening Commitment

Our commitment is to the health and safety of our members and staff.  As state guidelines allow for the re-opening of fitness facilities, we will implement a carefully planned approach that includes following CDC guidelines, responsible social distancing protocols, and a host of cleaning procedures.

We are pleased to announce that our New Jersey clubs are now open!  For more information on other clubs re-opening in your area, find your location here.

Cleaning

  • We have increased the number of “Sanitation Stations” in every club to ensure there are ample supplies in all areas of the facility to wipe down equipment and sanitize hands. We are requiring all members and Edge team members to wipe down all equipment, including free weights, before and after each use.
  • While we take pride in always maintaining spotless facilities, we nevertheless have increased the number of times our cleaning crews make their rounds and have added additional cleaning staff. Additionally, all equipment will be disinfected after each use with Edge staff on hand to ensure adherence and that supplies are adequately stocked.
  • We have added a weekly deep clean using Protexus fogging spray technology to disinfect and sanitize the entire club. Protexus uses electrostatic technology that coats surfaces with 360° coverage using hospital grade PURTABS.

Social distancing

  • As part of these re-opening guidelines, club capacity will be limited to 25% of state building code capacity. A separate check in station will be clearly marked at the front desk for our members. We ask all members to check-in at the beginning of their visit and complete the state required screening questions and temperature check. We respectfully request all members please limit their workout to 2 hours during peak times. When the capacity limit is reached, members will be allowed in as other members leave the club. Given the size of our club, even with this restriction we can still welcome a large group of our current members into our clubs while ensuring ample room for social distancing. However, because of the capacity restrictions members who have memberships that allow guests to accompany them will not be able to bring guests to visit the gym at this time. As capacity restrictions are increased, we will allow these guests back into our clubs.
  • We are excited to continue to offer Group Classes, Spinning, Edge Strong and Personal Training have resumed. In accordance with State guidelines of 1 person per 200 square feet, we will reduce class size to allow for social distancing while adding additional classes. This means you can still enjoy these offerings while following safe social distancing practices! Our Edge mobile application will support these changes (To ensure accurate schedules, please make sure you have the most up-to-date Apple or Android app). Please remember that you must sign up to attend a group exercise class.
  • Every other piece of cardio equipment will be available. This allows us to increase the space between members and take full advantage of our spacious clubs.

In Club Safety

  • Our initial opening hours will be as follows. These hours will go into effect when the clubs reopen and will allow thorough cleaning of the clubs every night.

    • Mon-Thurs 5am-10pm

    • Fri 5am-9pm

    • Sat 7am-6pm

    • Sun 7am-5pm

  • We will implement a touch-less check-in process. To keep everyone safe, upon entry, there will be no physical interaction between employees and members.

  • Use of PPE.  Edge staff and all members are required to use a cloth face covering at all times in the club, in accordance with the State of New Jersey's re-opening guidelines. We will continue to evaluate this policy as state guidance is updated.

  • The locker rooms and restrooms will remain open while maintaining social distancing guidelines.

  • Tanning and massage have resumed.  We respectfully require all members to wipe down tanning and massage equipment before and after each use.

  • Showers and Saunas will remain temporarily closed, in accordance with state guidelines.

  • Our Edge Kids Clubs will remain temporarily closed until further notice.

  • We will continue to offer bars, drinks, supplements and retail product for sale. To maintain a touch-free transaction, we will only conduct transactions with cards on file.  Click here for Instructions on how to add a card on file if you don’t already have one.  Our shake bar will re-open on Thursday, October 1st.

  • Member guidelines. We ask that you please comply with our policies to ensure everyone’s health and well-being. Our Edge team members will actively monitor the clubs to make sure that all members are following the guidelines for everyone’s safety.  We would appreciate your support, and we ask you to report any concerns to the Edge staff.

  • Here are a few reminders for when you visit to the gym:

    • If you are vulnerable or at-risk for COVID-19 as identified by the CDC—including those who are over the age of 65 or those who have chronic medical conditions—please take extra precaution and follow CDC guidelines. If you choose to visit the gym, we ask that you do so during off-peak hours. Please consult the General Manager for these preferred times.

    • If you feel sick, have a fever, difficulty breathing, or in the last 2 weeks been in close contact with a person suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19, please stay home.

    • Be courteous to fellow members and allow for proper social distancing when accessing or using equipment.

    • Wash and sanitize your hands often.

    • Wipe down equipment before and after use.

    • Wear cloth face coverings.

    • Bring your own towel and yoga mat.

    • If you have concerns about other members, alert an Edge staff member.

Memberships

  • Membership Activation
    • Upon re-opening, your next dues payment will be adjusted based on the number of days that you paid for prior to our close in March that you were unable to use due to closure.
  • Annual Maintenance Fee
    • To help families financially, all annual maintenance fees due to be billed in the April-October time frame will be pushed back to November 1st 2020. For example, if your annual maintenance fee was due to be billed April 1st, while we were closed, this payment will now be billed on November 1st. The annual maintenance fee date adjustments will revert back to their original dates the following year and thereafter.
  • Pre-paid Yearly Membership
    • Your membership will now automatically update with a new expiration date extended out the same number of days your home club was closed.
  • Personal Training Clients
    • While we were closed, any paid personal training sessions were removed from your trainer’s schedule and are now available to use when the club re-opens. We are excited to share that Personal Training has resumed. Trainers will be reaching out to each client the day we re-open to personally set up future schedules. Automatic adjustments will be made to your next invoice due, allocating for sessions paid for prior to close, but not used.
