Patty - Orland Hills, IL
Patty has been training for almost 2 years and has participated in 2 of the Edge Challenges! She’s lost over 150lbs and continues to stay determined and motivated to better herself every single day!
Here’s what Patty shared about her journey thus far:
“I joined the Edge before the opening day. I was recovering from a debilitating illness and was just medically released to start moving again. I had chronic fatigue, and even slight movement, like walking from the parking lot to the locker room was completely exhausting. I have worked hard to reclaim my health and build some strength. I am grateful for Melissa, and The Edge. I feel stronger than I have in decades. I have lost a lot of weight, about 75% of what I needed to lose. That said, losing has never been as important to me as gaining. I have gained the strength and stamina to engage in life in so many ways I never thought possible. For me, trying to do a little more than I did last week, go a little further, lift a little heavier, stretch a bit more has brought me success and I intend to keep building on that with a heart full of gratitude.”

“Recently, Elizabeth dedicated the last 2 months of her life to becoming the best version of herself. She completed and WON the Summer Weight Loss Challenge! Starting at 156 pounds and 35% body fat, she got down to 120 pounds and 20% body fat—while gaining muscle.
This didn’t just happen overnight though. She seriously worked her tail off, coming in 6–7 times a week and getting in extra work and cardio. She deserved every part of this win—she’s one of the hardest working people I know!”
